Day 4: March 28, 2018
Here’s the view outside my friend’s place.
Bangkok, Thailand buildings and light rail train
I left around noon to check into the Sofitel Sukhumvit Hotel. Another friend flew in from Singapore to meet me for a few days.
I felt sick that afternoon, maybe from the heat and fatigue, so I just stayed in the hotel room and didn’t venture out.
That night, we had dinner at Le Dalat Vietnamese Restaurant. The food was really good. The decor was something. Even the bathroom decor was really unique.

Day 5: March 29, 2018

Had breakfast at the hotel then rested most of the day.
At night I went out to Erawan to meet my friend. Here’s a cool pastel building I shot from the metro station.

We had dinner at Baan Ice Thai restaurant, then had cocktails at J. Borowski after. They’re both in the Thonglor area.

Day 6: March 30, 2018
I stayed in the hotel most of the day because I was still sick. Here’s what Sofitel Sukhumvit hotel looks like from the outside. And the view outside the hotel window.
I bought some snacks at the convenience store near the hotel before heading out late afternoon to The Jam Factory. It’s an enclave of trendy shopping and dining establishments, which is located in the Klong San Market. The same Klong San market I took a cross-river ferry boat to on my second day.

Bought some soap at the Anyroom store in The Jam Factory.
My friend and I had dinner at Neverending Summer also at The Jam Factory.
Afterwards we took the cross river ferry from Klong San to the Si Phaya pier on other side, landing where River City Mall is. There so happened to be a fireworks display behind the mall when we arrived.

Day 7: March 31, 2018

I had breakfast at the club floor of the hotel today instead of the area with the buffet.
I rested for a few hours then my friend and I headed to the Terminal 21 mall near the hotel to walk around and have some late lunch.
I rode with her to the airport late afternoon and grabbed dinner there. Then I took the airport rail link train back to the city, grabbed my bags from Sofitel Sukhumvit (lobby in photo below), then took a cab back to my friend’s place. The place I was staying at when I landed on day 1.
